Intended for oil installers who wish to know more about the Grant Vortex oil-fired boiler range. This course covers all models from the Grant Vortex range. Training includes boiler construction, principles of operation, installation, balanced and conventional flue systems, condensate disposal, burner operation, fault finding and commissioning/servicing procedures.
For oil installers and commissioning/servicing technicians, this course covers all aspects of Grant combination boilers. In addition to the Vortex and VortexBlue (low NOx) condensing combination boilers, it also includes the Combi V3, Combi Max and MKII Combi models (internal and external). It covers principles of operation, servicing and fault finding.
For oil commissioning/servicing technicians and oil installers who want to know more about the pressure jet burners fitted to Grant boilers. This course covers the Riello G5BF, RDB and RDB GB (blue flame, low NOx) burners, as well as the Ecoflam MAX1 and Sterling burners. It includes the principles of operation, operating sequences, component functions, fault finding, and commissioning and servicing procedures, using both theory and practical ‘hands on’ sessions. It is an ideal preparation for technicians intending to take the OFTEC10-101 Servicing/Commissioning training and assessment.

This course is intended for heating engineers who will be installing and maintaining air source heat pumps (non-refrigerant circuits). The course covers the key elements involved in a heat pump installation as well as commissioning, servicing, and maintaining air source heat pump units. This qualification would enable the holder to apply for OFTEC registration and for MCS certification for work under the scope of MIS 3005-I (The Heat Pump Standard- Installation).
This course is intended for heating engineers who will be designing heat pump heating systems as well as installing and maintaining air source heat pumps (non-refrigerant circuits). The OFT21-504A qualification covers the key elements of air source heat pump installation, commissioning and servicing and the OFT21-504D qualification covers the key requirements for designing such low temperature heating systems. Completion of both qualifications would enable the holder to apply for OFTEC registration and for MCS certification for work under the scope of MIS 3005-I and MIS3005-D.

This course is aimed at experienced plumbers and heating operatives who require a qualification in the installation, servicing and maintenance of domestic hot water systems. This course has been developed to ensure operatives comply with the requirements of Approved Document G when working on hot water systems. It includes the installation of Unvented Hot Water Systems up to 500 litres and 45kW power input in accordance with G3.
This course is intended for qualified plumbers who are either looking to improve their knowledge of the Water Regulations 1999 or who wish to join their local authority Water Industry Approved Plumber Scheme, one of the plumbing Competent Persons schemes, or the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS).
