Understanding BIM Objects

A BIM object is a data file that provides a digital 3D representation of a product or material that can be inserted into project planning software for build projects. Each BIM object file includes core information and functional data about the product as well geometry to accurately represent its physical characteristics and visualisation data for the product’s appearance. These data rich files include material properties, performance data, manufacturer information and energy efficiency ratings and each BIM object is designed to simulate the real product in design software.

Why use Grant BIM Objects?

Grant’s heat pump BIM objects and radiator BIMs are component objects with a fixed geometrical shape. When you download one of our BIM files above, you will be able to seamlessly incorporate low carbon heating systems into your plans with a stylish and highly efficient choice of heat emitter. Each of our Building Information Modelling objects contain detailed product specification to help you precisely plan upcoming build projects and support you in fulfilling regulatory standards such as the Future Homes Standard. 

Support using Grant BIM Objects

Our BIM objects are in .rfa format and are designed for use with Revit BIM programme software. Individual BIM files are available for each of the Aerona air source heat pump models, including R32 heat pumps and R290 heat pumps, as well separate BIM objects for the horizontal and vertical radiator options. Simply press the ‘Download’ icon button to access the BIM objects and for further technical specification details for any of the products, please select the ‘Product Details’ button next to the relevant model.
