Features & benefits

  • Combines an Aerona³ 17kW R32 air source heat pump with a range-rated 15-26kW Vortex low NOx oil boiler
  • G1 Installers can offer a 5 year guarantee (*subject to Terms and Conditions)
  • The oil boiler can be installed first as a stand-alone unit, replacing an older oil-fired appliance and providing immediate heat and hot water for the householder – ideal for distress purchase situations
  • The heat pump installation can take place at the same time as the boiler or the hybrid can be installed in two stages, with the heat pump being fitted after the boiler – ideal for when any changes are required elsewhere on the system
  • The hybrid can either be installed as one complete unit, with both the heat pump and boiler installed externally or, alternatively, the boiler can be installed internally giving installers choice and flexibility when it comes to installation
  • The VortexAir models are meter ready, fully pre-plumbed and wired, making installation easier
  • Using an advanced control system, the hybrid automatically monitors the system temperatures, seamlessly switching between four unique operating modes - heat pump only, oil boiler only, or combinations of both (option to manually switch between hybrid and oil also available)
  • Supplied with a low level balanced flue as standard with optional plume diverter kits also available to purchase separately
  • Easy to install, service and maintain

Hybrid solutions for boiler replacements

Hybrid solutions for boiler replacements

When an old boiler requires changing, it is usually part of a distress purchase when the customer needs a replacement appliance sourced and installed quickly to restore their heating and hot water. A hybrid heating system can give heating engineers an alternative solution to a traditional like-for-like replacement, making renewable heating a viable option for more of their customers.

Installing a VortexAir Hybrid can help homeowners choose a more environmentally friendly heating system without having to resize and replace their radiators and without the worry of being without heating for long periods of time. With a Grant hybrid, installers can help their customers enjoy the benefits of a more sustainable heating system, with lower fuel usage and costs.
