Installers in England and Wales can get a fully funded Grant heat pump for their home along with product training, system design, as well as on-site setup and commissioning support.
Start with Grant provides newly trained and experienced plumbing and heating installers with a fully funded Grant Aerona air source heat pump to fit in their own home, backed with the support of Grant UK’s sales, training, design, and technical teams. The Scheme is designed to build installer confidence and experience so installers can offer air source heat pumps to their customers.
Start with Grant is offered to installers in England and Wales through our partnership with MCS Umbrella company Heat Pump Go. There are many reasons why you should take the plunge and sign up to Start with Grant, including:
Start with Grant is fully funded through the Government BUS grant which will be applied for and claimed through our umbrella partnership with Heat Pump Go.
The Start with Grant scheme includes:
Please note: Radiators and standard plumbing/heating equipment are not provided by Grant as part of this scheme.
To apply for Start with Grant, your company must not already install, commission, or service Air Source Heat Pumps.
You will need to supply a valid EPC for your property to confirm there is an existing fossil fuel or direct electric heating system fitted.
You must also hold current certifications for the following:
Please note: Grant UK or Heat Pump Go may request copies of certificates. However, for the 'Start with Grant' scheme only, in the event that you do not have these qualifications, Grant UK can certify the installation at your property using our in house MCS approved commissioning engineers.
If you are not already a G1 installer, you will be sent an enrolment form for the G1 scheme following your Grant heat pump training. You will need to complete this to gain access to the 7-year heat pump guarantee for your installation, and any future installations for your customers.
Terms and Conditions apply (a copy will be made available upon application). It is important to note that installers cannot remove the heat pump or equipment supplied by Grant UK as part of the Start with Grant scheme to sell or re-install in another house. This will be a breach of the Terms and will result in the full BUS grant being recovered from the Installer.
