B Beales Developers, installing R290 heat pumps for five sustainable barn conversions
B Beales Developers, who specialise in developing new build and renovated homes in Norfolk, have incorporated the latest generation of R290 heat pumps from Grant UK at their Meadow Grange development. Comprising of five barns which are being converted across two phases, each property has been specified with a Grant Aerona 290 air source heat pump. Here, B Beales Developers and their installer discuss the heating requirements for this new build development.
Buccleuch Estates, installing renewable heating solutions for their rental properties
When one of the properties managed by Buccleuch in the Scottish Borders needed refurbishing, a low carbon heating system was required to fulfil the property’s requirements while also adhering to the sustainable ethos of Buccleuch. The solution, including an air source heat pump, integrated hot water cylinder and aluminium radiators, was supplied by Grant UK who delivered a complete package of products and support to Buccleuch.
B Beales Developers, why heat pumps perfectly suited their barn conversions
Grant air source heat pumps are part of the specification at each of the properties on an exclusive development in the Norfolk countryside which completed in 2022. The site features six barn conversions which combine original characteristics with modern design and at the heart of each home is a renewable central heating system. In this case study, B Beales Developers explain why sustainable heating was the only solution for these properties.
Rose Homes, a developer’s journey to renewables
Soon, developers will no longer be able to install fossil fuel boilers in new build properties. More sustainable heating system solutions will need to be installed instead and some developers, such as Rose Homes in Essex, have already made the transition to renewable heating. Grant UK Training Academy extend partnership with Coleg Sir Gâr
Coleg Sir Gâr officially opened their Green Skills Academy in late September which is a new facility at their Gelli Aur campus specialising in the delivery of renewable energy training. The facilities are being heated by an Aerona air source heat pump and other Grant renewable products are installed as part of the centre’s practical training room.
