R290 Heat Pump Installer Training

Grant UK delivers a range of face-to-face and online training for heating professionals who want to develop their knowledge of air source heat pumps and renewable heating systems.

R290 heat pumps and the future of home heating

Air source heat pumps are playing a pivotal role in decarbonising home heating, helping households to lower their carbon emissions by providing them with a renewable solution for heating their homes and hot water. Heat pump technology is continuing to evolve with R290 heat pumps becoming increasingly popular. An R290 heat pump uses the more environmentally friendly R290 refrigerant which has an incredibly low Global Warming Potential of 3 which is significantly lower than other refrigerants typically used in heat pumps.

Free heat pump training

Key to achieving the Government’s target of 600,000 heat pump installations each year by 2028 will be training heating engineers so that they can confidently install air source heat pumps, including R290 heat pumps. This is why Grant UK’s Training Academy delivers high quality installer training to educate heating professionals about the latest products and changes in the low carbon heating sector. This includes free heat pump training courses which are available at our Training Academy Headquarters in Swindon, Wiltshire, as well as at training centres located throughout England, Scotland and Wales.

The Grant Aerona 290 ASHP Installer Course is a 1-day, in-person training course which covers the specification and operation of the Aerona 290 heat pump, installation, commissioning and servicing, as well as R290 refrigerant safe practice and protection zones.
