What to check if the system is losing pressure?

If there is a loss system pressure on the pressure gauge, a heating engineer should check for the following:

  • Check for any leaks on system - find and rectify as necessary
  • Check the expansion vessel pre-charge, lost-check and re-charge the vessel as necessary
  • Check the pressure relief valve discharging fluid - check and rectify or replace valve as necessary
