The Aerona Smart Controller can store and recall a default system setting scheme within its memory. Once the heat pump system has been installed and commissioned, the applied settings (including the demand schedules and legionella protection) can be stored within the Smart heat pump controller. This can then be recalled if a setting is inadvertently changed causing issues within the system.
To store the current system settings after the system has been configured and commissioned, go to the main menu on the home screen and tap the ‘Settings’ icon towards the bottom left of the screen (shown below).
Next, select ‘Service Settings’ and then type in the 4 digit password of ‘0000’ before selecting ‘Enter’. On the next screen, tap ‘Installation Controller’.
On the following screen, scroll down to the bottom of the menu and select ‘Default Settings’. Then select ‘Save current settings as default’ and confirm your selection by tapping the ‘tick’ icon. A message will then appear on the Smart Controller’s screen to confirm that the settings have been saved.
To restore the current saved default settings to the Aerona Smart Controller, you follow a similar process for storing default settings. To restore default settings:
Please note, if any paired thermostats were previously connected to the heat pump controller, they will need to be re-paired to space heating circuits after the default settings have been restored.
As mentioned above, a heat pump installer may need to restore the default settings on the Aerona Smart Controller if the previously saved settings have been changed for one reason or another.
In the event of an error being flagged by the controller, you would first hear an audible alarm. The first troubleshooting step for this would be to attempt to restore the saved system default settings as outlined above.
No, the processes for either storing current system settings or restoring saved default settings must be completed using the Aerona Smart Controller’s interface. These options cannot be accessed through an online ecoNET account.
