G1 Scheme
Requirements
G1 installers can be approved to install one or more of Grant’s product ranges. Each requires a specific set of criteria to be met before an installer can be listed as G1 in that technology.
Prior to joining the G1 Scheme, installers must meet the eligibility criteria for the technologies they wish to install. These requirements are detailed below.
G1 oil boiler installer checklist
- OFTEC registered or member of another competent persons scheme
- Experienced oil boiler engineer and/or attend and pass Oil Boiler Course(s) at the Grant UK Training Academy
- Be a Registered Company (sole trader/limited/public)
- Hold adequate Public Liability Insurance
- Comply with the Grant UK G1 Terms & Conditions (specified within the G1 Welcome Pack)
- Actively promote, specify and install Grant Vortex oil boiler products
G1 air source heat pump installer checklist
- Attend and pass the Aerona³ Air Source Heat Pump Installer Course or Aerona 290 Air Source Heat Pump Installer Course at the Grant UK Training Academy; or complete and pass the online Aerona³ Air Source Heat Pump Installer course or Aerona 290 Air Source Heat Pump Installer course via the Grant eLearning Academy; or attend and pass the OFT21-504A: Installation, commissioning and servicing of Air Source Heat Pumps course at the Grant UK Training Academy.

- Comply with the Grant UK G1 Terms & Conditions (specified within the G1 Welcome Pack)
- Actively promote, specify and install Grant Aerona ASHP products
G1 solar thermal installer checklist
- Experienced Solar Thermal system engineer and/or attend and pass the Solar Thermal Installer Course at the Grant UK Training Academy
- Be a Registered Company (sole trader/limited/public)
- Hold adequate Public Liability Insurance
- Comply with the Grant UK G1 Terms & Conditions (specified within the G1 Welcome Pack)
- Actively promote, specify and install Grant Solar Thermal products
G1 underfloor heating installer checklist
- Attend and pass the Uflex Underfloor Heating Product Course at the Grant UK Training Academy
- Be a Registered Company (sole trader/limited/public)
- Hold adequate Public Liability insurance
- Comply with the Grant UK G1 Scheme Terms and Conditions (specified within the G1 Welcome Pack)
- Actively promote, specify and install Grant Uflex and Uflex MINI products
