Why is my solar thermal installation not working even though the sun is shining?

Provided that there is a 10ºC difference between the temperature in the solar thermal panels and the temperature at the bottom of the cylinder, your solar thermal pump should operate unless one or more of the following scenarios occurs:

  1. The temperature in the solar thermal panels rises risen above 120ºC – if this occurs, the pump unit will automatically turn off at this temperature to avoid stagnation.
  2. The cylinder reaches its target temperature
  3. The temperature in the solar thermal panels is less than 35ºC.

If none of the above scenarios have occurred and your solar thermal system is not working, please contact your engineer for further support.
