Grant UK supply wet underfloor heating systems which feature a series of flexible pipes which are laid within the floor through which hot water flows and transfers heat upwards into a room. The Uflex range includes screeded underfloor heating systems, which use either a traditional screed or self-levelling compound, and non-screeded underfloor heating systems which use either aluminium heat emission plates or high density polystyrene boards. There is therefore a solution for new builds, extensions, retrofit and upper floor installation projects so speak to your local underfloor heating installer to discuss which solution will best suit your home.
Low profile underfloor heating systems
The Grant Uflex MINI is a low profile underfloor heating system which is just 15mm in finished floor height. It can be installed over an existing sound, level floor surface and is ideally suited for retrofit underfloor heating installations. Yes. With so many underfloor heating systems available, there is a system that will suit your home whether that be a traditional screeded UFH system, a low profile UFH system, a dry, non-screed UFH system, or installation options (such as heat emission plates) for first and upper floor areas.
Low profile underfloor heating systems lend themselves well to retrofit installations because systems, such as the Grant Uflex MINI UFH, use self-adhesive panels which can be laid on top of an existing floor, providing it is sound and level, and using a self-levelling compound to create the finished floor surface. Furthermore, low profile UFH systems may not affect existing door and skirting board arrangements. Dry, non-screeded UFH systems are also ideally suited for existing properties as there is no need to dig up existing floors.
