What do the display symbols mean on my Aerona Remote Controller

What do the display symbols mean on my Aerona Remote Controller

The Aerona Remote Controller is a white cased unit designed to be wall mounted in a convenient location in your home. Unlike the Aerona Smart Controller, which is suitable for use with both the Aerona 290 and Aerona³ R32 heat pump ranges, the Aerona Remote Controller is only compatible with Aerona³ R32 air source heat pump models.

Where is the Aerona Remote Controller display?

The remote controller has a hinged front cover, behind which the LCD display screen is positioned with buttons situated to the right of the screen and beneath it. In the top right hand corner of the display screen, a series of symbols will indicate the operation and status of your Aerona³ heat pump.

Frost protection symbol

If this icon is displayed on the remote controller screen, it is indicating that the heat pump’s frost protection is active. Your Grant Aerona³ heat pump is fitted with automatic frost protection that will operate when either the outside air temperature or the system water temperature falls to or below a pre-set value (the factory default setting is 4°C).

Defrost cycle symbol

If the symbol is flashing, it is indicating that the heat pump is in heating mode but the heating has stopped due to a hot water demand that has priority.
