My boiler has stopped working and there is a light on the on/off switch?

If your boiler has stopped working and there is a light on the 'on/off' switch, this can indicate one of three things:

1. Boiler has overheated - try using the overheat reset on the right-hand side of the control panel on the boiler by unscrewing the black cap and pressing the button. If it clicks, it has reset. If it does not click, it is either still too hot (if the boiler has previously fired) and you will need to wait for it to cool down or it is not overheated.

2. The boiler is up to temperature, and the heat has not left the boiler - this may be a system fault or a fault with the circulating pump on the system. We would recommend that you speak to your heating engineer to ascertain which issue may be causing the problem.

3. Burner has locked out - try pressing the red lockout button on front of the boiler. Only try this a couple of times - if the burner still fails to light, please contact your heating engineer for further guidance.
