The Aerona 290 is Grant UK’s fifth generation of air-to-water heat pumps. Using the natural R290 refrigerant which has incredibly low Global Warming Potential (GWP), the Aerona 290 is an even more sustainable heat pump option compared to models using different refrigerants. Designed to efficiently heat homes and provide hot water, this R290 heat pump provides homeowners with an even more environmentally friendly heat pump for their homes.

What is R290 refrigerant?
R290 refrigerant, which is better known as Propane, is a natural refrigerant that is commonly used in air conditioning systems and refrigeration and is being increasingly used in air source heat pump technology. This is because R290 refrigerant is non-toxic, is odourless and has excellent thermodynamic properties which aid the incredibly efficient operation of a heat pump.
