The Heat Pump Association, along with other representatives within the low carbon heating industry, has published two consultations to discuss the qualification criteria for training courses on low carbon heating systems. Installers are encouraged to feed their thoughts and comments into both consultations, which will remain open until 30th June 2020.
Grant UK’s webinar with InstallerFESTIVAL, about correctly sizing heat emitters when designing heat pump systems, proved to be a hit with plenty of discussion and questions raised by participants. InstallerFESTIVAL, which brought together heating engineers from across the country via a virtual industry gathering, has been a big success and Grant UK is pleased to have been a part of the event.
In 2019, a large property in Llanfyrnach, Pembrokeshire underwent a complete refurbishment which included upgrading the heating system. Today, the home’s heating and hot water requirements are being met more sustainably by a bespoke hybrid system consisting of a Grant Solar Thermal system installed alongside a VortexBlue oil boiler.
A number of exciting changes and new features have been incorporated into Grant UK’s website – www.grantuk.com – including a series of stylistic and content updates, a more sophisticated ‘Find an Engineer’ search function, the launch of a brand new Blog as well as other improvements designed to enhance user experiences and to increase the range of resources available to visitors.
At the beginning of April, Grant UK appointed Matt Beales as a Business Development Manager within the Renewables Sales Team. Matt will provide sales support on Grant’s extensive renewable product range to customers in the East and South East of England.
Effective from 1st March 2020, G1 Members who are trained and accredited to install Grant air source heat pumps can activate 7 year guarantees on the Aerona³ R32 heat pump models that they install and register through the Scheme.
Grant UK has appointed a Technical Design Manager as part of its ongoing programme to develop and expand the renewable product customer support available through the Company. This new role has been filled by Stuart McWhinnie who will now head the Design and Specification Team at Grant UK.
