A zone dedicated to merchants is now available to access via the Grant eLearning Academy. Merchant staff can sign up and create an eLearning account to gain access to a range of courses and training resources tailored to help them develop their knowledge of renewable heating systems.
The Grant eLearning Academy is home to a wide selection of online training materials which are focused on renewable heating technologies. First launched in July 2020 for installers and engineers, the eLearning Academy has since developed with the addition of bespoke training areas for architects and developers and, most recently, with the addition of a zone which is dedicated to merchants. The new merchant eLearning zone is accessible to branch staff and merchant employees who are interested in developing their understanding of air source heat pumps and other renewable heating products.
The renewable heating market presents merchants with a different selection of products for them to work with and sell to their installers. New products can bring exciting sales opportunities to a branch but in order to fully realise this potential, merchant staff need to feel confident in their understanding of new heating technologies so that they can advise their customers and answer their questions. Training branch staff is and will continue to be a key element in the transition to renewable heating and net zero carbon which is why Grant UK is providing merchants with the learning materials they require.
Through the Grant eLearning Academy, merchants can access online training at a time to suit them. The courses are all free and are available on-demand so users can start a course, pause it, and resume it to complete at a later time or day. The merchant eLearning area from Grant UK contains a mix of express, quick courses as well as longer, more in-depth sessions so merchant staff can select the course and level most relevant to them. The topics covered by the course materials include air source heat pumps and the Aerona³ range, Afinia aluminium radiators, G1 and G-CERT Schemes, Grant renewable product overview, net zero and Covid health and safety courses. Additional courses will be added to the platform in the coming months to make the Grant eLearning Academy experience even more comprehensive for users.
“Renewable technologies present the heating market with lots of opportunities for installers, their merchants and manufacturers,” comments Grant UK’s National Sales Manager, Andy Smith. “At the centre of the move to more sustainable heating systems is knowledge and understanding so that everyone feels confident with the products they are working with and this is why training, both face to face and online, is a core offering from Grant UK. The Grant eLearning Academy has already established itself as a popular online training platform for installers, architects and developers and this new area dedicated to merchants is yet another way that we can support our customers and provide them with the tools they need to excel in their respective fields over the coming years.”
