Grant’s range of Vortex Eco Utility condensing oil boilers are known for being competitively priced, efficient and reliable.

Consequently, receiving positive feedback about these boilers from both installers and householders is not uncommon. In early November, a Vortex Eco Utility 26/35kW boiler was installed into a large farmhouse in Devizes, restoring warmth and hot water to the property and satisfying another homeowner.

The burner in the old boiler that was previously fitted within the farmhouse had caught fire and required replacing. The homeowner consulted the advice of OFTEC registered installer A H Plumbing and Heating Services, a G-One installer who is based in Devizes, who assessed the original boiler. It was estimated that the model was over twenty years old so sourcing a new burner could have proven time consuming, not ideal when the winter months are creeping in. With this in mind, the homeowner asked Tony Hamilton from A H Plumbing and Heating to quote the price of installing a new boiler.

Tony contacted his local Grant Sales Manager, Gareth Farr, and they both visited the site to decide upon the best model of boiler to suit the property’s needs. The farmhouse was large with eleven radiators located throughout. It was decided that a Vortex Eco Utility 26/35kW oil-fired boiler would be the most suitable replacement to meet the farmhouse’s heating demands. Grant’s Eco models are all rated as energy class A as they feature the latest burner technology which ensures that high efficiencies are reached and sustained. These boilers are also exceptionally quiet when operating and their casing, control panel and pipework arrangement makes them the ideal choice for installing within utility rooms.

The homeowner asked about the lead time for delivery and when Tony confirmed that he could get the boiler delivered within twenty four hours, the decision was confirmed. The next day the Vortex was delivered on site and by close of the play the following day, it was installed in the outhouse utility room, the system was power flushed, and the appliance was up and running. Tony also fitted a Grant Mag One filter which uses a triple action filtration design to filter the magnetite and non-ferrous debris from the central heating system, providing ongoing protection for years to come.

The homeowner is very pleased with their new Vortex. Tony writes, “My happy customer now has a fully functioning heating system in the old farmhouse ready for the winter months. They also commented on how much smaller the Grant boiler is compared to the original appliance and how the new boiler manages to do more!”

Not only does the Vortex Eco Utility range provide effective heating to properties of all sizes, the boilers do so without taking up lots of space as shown with this particular install. This case study also demonstrates how Grant’s high quality products are supported by an excellent network of G-One accredited installers, local Area Sales Managers, and merchants who stock Grant products and ensure that demand is met. Green products, great thinking, Grant Engineering.
