At the beginning of November, The Business Exchange South West Awards took place at the National Self Build and Renovation Centre in Swindon, Wiltshire, where Grant UK was a finalist in two categories – the Positive Business Award and Sustainable Business of the Year.
Celebrating local businesses based throughout Swindon, Wiltshire, Bath and Somerset, TBE Awards feature a wide range of categories to appreciate the work carried out by companies, charities, partnerships and individuals working in the region. This year’s awards attracted competitive entries across all fourteen categories with the winners announced at an awards ceremony on 6th November 2025. Grant UK was thrilled to be shortlisted as a Finalist in two categories, acknowledging the Company’s grassroots initiative with local schools as well as its carbon-reduction programme, Grant Project Zero.
Grant UK’s Kick the Carbon Grassroots Programme was a finalist in the category for the Positive Business Award which celebrated businesses who have made a positive impact either through fundraising, green initiatives or socially amongst the community. With Bath Rugby, Grant UK delivered the Kick the Carbon initiative into primary schools based in Wiltshire and Somerset, helping schoolchildren to learn about sustainability through fun, engaging sessions which combined classroom activities with rugby themed games. During the programme’s two year rollout, over 2,000 local primary schoolchildren took part with positive feedback received from both pupils and their teachers.
Meanwhile, Grant UK was also announced as a finalist for Sustainable Business of the Year at the TBE Awards as well, an award which recognises organisations which are making a commitment to conserving the natural environment. Through Grant Project Zero, Grant UK has set goals and achieved significant milestones in the Company’s road to net zero. In the last twelve months alone, the Company has increased its use of recyclable product packaging, reduced its overall waste volumes and celebrated a fourth consecutive year of being a carbon neutral business.
“We were incredibly proud to be finalists at this year’s TBE Awards,” writes Anna Wakefield, Head of Internal Sales and Marketing at Grant UK. “Local awards such as TBE Awards are fantastic at showcasing what businesses and organisations in the local area are doing, whether it’s through product innovation, making an impact amongst the community or changing the way they work to be more environmentally friendly in their day-to-day operations. To be recognised by TBE Awards and their judging panel is a testament to every member of the Grant Team, acknowledging their amazing work that is achieved day in and say out.”
