A Grant Aerona 290 air-to-water heat pump has been installed at a home in Holsworthy, Devon, replacing an old heat pump previously installed at the property. Using Grant’s latest generation of Smart heat pump controls, the Aerona 290 unit has upgraded the household’s heating with incredible efficiencies and modern design.
In Spring 2025, the owners of a detached four-bedroom property in Devon were researching the options available to them to replace their old heat pump system. Supported by their G1 Installer, BRC Heating & Plumbing Ltd, the household wanted to continue using renewable energy for their home heating and with their installer’s experience of Grant products, the Aerona 290 air source heat pump was selected as the suitable solution to fulfil their space heating and hot water requirements.
Alongside the Aerona 290 12kW heat pump which was specified, a Grant QR 250ltr hot water cylinder was also installed to provide an efficient solution for the storage of the property’s hot water. The existing heat emitters, comprising of radiators and an underfloor heating system, did not require any changes so these remain in place as part of the new system. The heat pump system is being controlled by the intuitive Aerona Smart Controller which gives both the homeowner and their installer visibility of the key system settings and schedules to manage the heat pump’s day-to-day operation.
The installation was completed in the Summer 2025 with the homeowners pleased with their new Aerona 290 heat pump which combines sleek aesthetics with quiet operation.
