Corporate Social Responsibility

Grant UK is committed to supporting the community as well as striving to reduce the Company’s environmental impact, both in its products and throughout the business.

Grant UK supports the local community by fundraising for charities, nominated and selected by employees, based close to our Company Headquarters in Wiltshire. The Wiltshire Air Ambulance is our current chosen charity. In 2019, staff raised £10,000 for this local charity and we are continuing to support the Wiltshire Air Ambulance throughout 2020 as well.

Grant UK’s fundraising activities vary from speciality lunches and bake sales, sponsorship activities and dress up days, through to a staff Christmas raffle. The mix of activities enable all staff to get involved either by making delicious homemade treats, donating by buying items, or by attending and supporting Charity events such as the White Horse Walk.

Environmental policy

It is our policy to manage our business in the most environmentally responsible manner, complying with the relevant environmental legislation and regulations. Grant UK also aims to provide customers with an on time and fault free, reliable service.

Through our Quality Environmental Policy (ISO14001), everyone at Grant UK is committed to continuous improvement with our products and services, as well as recycling, reducing pollution, and exceeding our customers’ expectations wherever possible.

We have significantly reduced our product packaging and, where possible, we have made sure that the packaging that is used is made from recyclable materials.

In 2019, Grant UK implemented a number of initiatives designed to increase the level of recycling taking place in the Company’s operations. Today, employees are encouraged to reduce waste and recycle whenever possible with the placement of recycling facilities throughout our premises in Devizes.

Since introducing these additional recycling measures, Grant UK has significantly improved its waste collections and recycling volumes. In less than a year, our cardboard waste reduced by 55%, plastic waste reduced by 52% and the amount of general waste produced onsite also greatly reduced with over 1 tonne being handled as mixed recyclables.

By recycling and reusing cardboard more often and reducing the need for plastics onsite and within our packaging, Grant UK is making positive steps forward to achieving sustainable business operations for a greener future.
