Richard Moncur

Richard has worked in the plumbing and heating sector all his professional life, commencing his career with a plumbers merchant and completing a trainee apprenticeship. He then progressed into branch, regional and business development roles within the plumbing, heating and renewables sectors working for a national merchant and later manufacturers.

With a career spanning more than three decades, Richard has extensive experience in the heating, plumbing and renewable energy industries in Great Britain. His roles have involved him working closely with installers, contractors, distribution partners and consultants to support large scale projects with their heating system requirements. More recently, Richard’s career has specialised in low-carbon heating technologies, in particular heat pumps, an area where Richard has in-depth technical knowledge and has supported customers with CPD and training and helped businesses navigate their route to Net Zero with sustainable heating systems.

At the beginning of 2026, Richard joined Grant UK’s Sales Team and in his role as a Renewables Business Development Manager, he is providing tailored sales and technical support for Grant air source heat pumps and renewable heating solutions to heating professionals working in the new build housing, local authority and social housing sectors.
