The size of boiler you will need will depend on the heat loss from your house. If you have made improvements to your house, such as double glazing, cavity wall insulation, draught proofing and loft insulation, the size of boiler you now need may be smaller than the one it is replacing. An estimate of heat loss must be carried out by your installer before a new boiler is selected.
It is important that the correct sized boiler is selected for your home. A boiler that is too small will not have sufficient output to meet the heating demand of your property and a boiler which is too big will not be as efficient compared to a boiler with the appropriate heating output.
