Earlier this year, television and radio property expert and author, Martin Roberts, turned to Grant UK for a replacement oil boiler to fulfil his property’s heating needs. Martin selected a Grant VortexBlue which, with its cleaner burning technology, is now keeping his home warm and toasty for many years to come.
A Grant Vortex Combi oil-fired boiler was previously heating Martin’s property and had been doing so for over two decades. When the time came for a new heating solution, choosing another Grant boiler was Martin’s favoured option. “My previous Grant oil-fired boiler had given me many years of reliable service so, when it came to replacing it, as far as I was concerned, there was only one choice,” explains Martin.
The model chosen was a Grant VortexBlue 36kW internal combi. This boiler incorporates the latest Riello RDB Blu burner technology alongside the patented Vortex stainless steel heat exchanger. The Riello blue flame burner is compact and, although advanced, the technology remains easy to install and set up. With a 24 litre expansion vessel, neon diagnostic indicators and a factory fitted internal condensate trap, the VortexBlue combi range is designed with the installer in mind being simple to both install and service.
All of the Grant VortexBlue models have the same dimensions as the existing ranges, making the replacement of older products straightforward. The VortexBlue combis are available as internal or external variants with heating outputs of 21kW, 26kW and 36kW. Launched in early 2016, the Grant VortexBlue is a new generation of clean burning, low emission and high efficiency condensing boilers that far exceed emission changes which are planned to come into force in Europe in 2018.
Martin’s VortexBlue combi was fitted with minimal disruption by Ford Fuel Oils Ltd. who are G-One approved installers based in Stalbridge, Dorset. As G-One installers, Ford Fuels were able to offer Martin a longer guarantee period on his boiler. Fitted with a Vortex Mag One magnetic filter, Martin’s VortexBlue combi has an impressive ten year guarantee, demonstrating Grant’s confidence in this revolutionary technology.
The VortexBlue was installed at the beginning of this year and Martin is incredibly pleased with his boiler. “I’m told that the improvements in technology and efficiency that have occurred, plus Grant’s state of the art design, mean that I’ll notice significant savings in heating fuel used,” continues Martin. “The fact I’ve been given a reassuring ten year guarantee provides peace of mind for many winters to come.”
The Grant VortexBlue is the result of a joint initiative between Grant and Riello, whose R&D teams spent over two years developing a compact Blue Flame burner to match the award winning Grant Vortex condensing oil boiler range.
