In January, the expansion of Grant UK’s HQ in Devizes, Wiltshire, was completed. The build took less than a year and has increased the size of the storage facilities and offices by over 40%, an expansion which will enable Grant UK to enhance the level of service it delivers to customers.
Located just south of the M4 corridor, Grant UK’s HQ has occupied its central location on the Hopton Industrial Estate in Devizes for nearly two decades. The latest development commenced in the summer of 2017 and involved the demolition of a derelict building adjacent to the existing offices and warehouse. The site now welcomes an extensive new warehouse with an adjoining showroom and meeting suites.
To compliment the new facility, Grant UK has taken the opportunity to install a state of the art racking system in both the new and existing warehouse which has doubled the storage capacity of the site.
Over 4,000 oil boilers are now stocked onsite with additional warehouse space being allocated for the storage of renewable products and a growing range of spares. This new facility will enable Grant UK to meet the increasing demand for their products. Following the implementation of the improved infrastructure in Devizes, Grant UK are expanding their transport arrangements to improve delivery schedules and maintain a consistent, reliable service for customers.
There have also been significant changes to the Internal Sales Team which has expanded over the past twelve months. Shelley Buckley, Acting Internal Sales Manager, now heads a team of five who support the external Area Sales Managers out in the field. This growth in Grant UK’s personnel will further assist the Company to increase its output to meet the demands of merchants and installers.
Adjacent to the new warehouse is a new showroom which is home to a selection of Grant’s innovative heating products. On display are several of Grant’s Vortex oil boiler models which were awarded 2017 Which? Best Buys alongside a number of Aeronaᵌ air source heat pumps which were Finalists at the recent ACR Awards for ‘Heat Pump Product of the Year’. Each product is positioned on moveable pods which allow the showroom to be a flexible environment for events. Furthermore, there is a working 16kW Aeronaᵌ heat pump which is supplying the building with heating and hot water.
Merchants will be invited to host their own regional events at the new premises, making use of the meeting space, product displays and, if required, receiving product training with Grant UK’s Training Academy which is also based on site.
