Grant UK is pleased to announce that it is now an Associate Member of Homes for Scotland (HFS). Working closely with Scottish Government and their members, HFS influence policy around new build homes in Scotland so Grant UK is looking forward to supporting their work with a focus on low-carbon heating.
Homes for Scotland (HFS) is a membership organisation who represent the housing market in Scotland. Their members include housing developers and the suppliers who fulfil products to the new build housing market. The primary purpose of HFS is to deliver more homes for Scotland, representing their members and working with government policymakers to ensure housing requirements are achieved.
Throughout the year, HFS host events and forums to bring their members together to discuss how best to provide quality, energy efficient, sustainable homes to Scotland. Regularly speaking to stakeholders, HFS focus on the planning system, policy, building standards and infrastructure while also holding regular consultations with their members to ensure all aspects of the housing market are represented.
In its capacity as an Associate Member, Grant UK is looking forward to being part of these conversations and working with those in the Scottish housing sector, specifically supporting them with the transition to heat pump heating systems. As a supplier to the sector, Grant UK understands that the installation of air source heat pumps in new build homes involves much more than just the installation, whether it is tailored product training, comprehensive support with system designs, or providing reliable customer support for homeowners when they move in. Grant UK hopes that its experience in each of these areas will provide valuable insight for HFS and their members.
“Homes for Scotland understand the social and economic benefits of building suitable homes here in Scotland,” comments Richard Moncur, Grant UK’s Renewables Business Development Manager for Scotland and Northern England. “With heat pumps firmly placed at the centre of new build developments, I am looking forward to working with HSE to raise awareness and understanding around heat pumps and how they can be successfully integrated into the Scottish homes of the future.”
