To complement its popular EZ-Fit flue systems, Grant also supplies a range of roof flashings to suit the different types of roofs that installers regularly come across.
For Grant’s vertical balanced flue (White) system, three types of flashing are available to suit flat and pitched roofs. Each flashing is designed to be durable and long-lasting to meet the demands of its purpose, while also offering flexibility to installers making installation easier.
For a flat roof, an aluminium flashing is available which is corrosion resistant, robust and rigid. With its large round flat base (two sizes are available with a 365mm diameter to suit the 90 flue system and a 500mm diameter to suit the 200 flue system), this aluminium flashing allows for easy weathering to a flat roof. The flashing fits up into the weathering collar which is sealed to the flue system terminal section making the installation simple.
For pitched roofs, two versions of flashing are available: the universal type and the adjustable type. These are available with either a lead base, lead replacement base or aluminium base. The base material is malleable specifically to make it easy to dress into the roof profile whether tiles or slate.
The universal flashing has a flexible cone which makes it suitable for a wide range of roof pitches, between 20° to 45°. This is made from a material which is both UV and weather resistant ensuring maximum durability of the product. This flashing can either have an aluminium base or safe-lead, powder coated base which is environmentally safe. The flashing is incredibly easy to use because the cone is stepped to give a series of different diameters. This is cut on site to a size that will be a tight fit to the outside of the flue pipe.
The adjustable flashing comes with a robust and sturdy two part plastic storm collar which offers flexibility for the installers. It fits up into the weathering collar so it is easy to make a weathered joint fit to the flue system. This adjustable flashing can suit roof pitches ranging from 20° up to 45° (depending on the flashing size). Available in two sizes, the smaller adjustable flashing is used with systems up to 26kW and has a lead base while the larger size is used for systems between 26-70kW and has a lead-replacement base. This base is a non-metallic, flexible material with a peel-off sealing strip around the perimeter of the base.
Grant’s range of flue flashings provides installers with a variety of options to aid the installation of flue systems while also serving its function for many years. For further details about Grant EZ-Fit flue systems and accessories, please click here.
