Commercial Technical Manager Expertise: Oil Renewable General Legislation Technical

Neil has been involved in the plumbing and heating sector all his professional life, starting his career as an electrician and later qualifying as a plumber/heating engineer when he was running his own installation company in the 80’s and 90’s. In 1997, he joined an oil boiler manufacturer in East Anglia, working within their technical team and progressing to R&D Manager.

In 2005, Neil joined Grant UK as Technical Manager and has overseen the Technical Department for over two decades. Today, Neil is Commercial Technical Manager and is involved in Grant UK’s product research and development, compliance and legislation as well as being involved in industry organisations and boards on an advisory level.

Neil has extensive knowledge of all Grant products and works closely with Grant Engineering in Ireland to develop new products and update existing offerings to ensure they meet industry standards and achieve exceptional efficiencies in the field. Working closely with industry boards and Government representatives, Neil is also involved in working groups which review and set standards for the heating sector. Neil’s expertise span a wide range of low-carbon heating solutions including air-to-water heat pumps, hybrid heating technologies, HVO biofuel oil-fired boilers, and the controls and ancillary products needed to support and maximise home heating systems.
