Make changes today for a greener tomorrow

In order to achieve Net Zero carbon targets, we are all going to need to make changes to our day-to-day routines.

Working with Bath Rugby, our Kick the Carbon initiative aims to increase awareness of sustainability amongst the local community. Together, we want to show the ways in which Bath Rugby, their players, their supporters and the wider community can make changes in their everyday lives to reduce carbon emissions.

Did you know that you can significantly reduce your carbon footprint by upgrading your home heating and installing a renewable technology? This is where Grant UK can help. With a Grant heat pump or solar thermal system, you can heat your home efficiently, sustainably, and lower your carbon emissions.

Grassroots sustainability – let’s spread the word!

First launched in 2022, Kick the Carbon saw some of the Bath Rugby players take on fun-filled challenges with local schoolchildren to highlight the different ways we can all reduce our impact on the environment.

The 2023/24 season saw our Kick the Carbon campaign roll out into local schools with Bath Rugby and Grant UK visiting nearly 900 primary school children to deliver an engaging education programme about sustainability and the importance of protecting the environment.

Through this Grassroots Community Sustainability Programme, both the Club and Grant UK worked together to educate future generations about the importance of sustainability and how making small changes today can make a big difference in the years to come.

This initiative has been announced as a Finalist at the Energy Saving Awards 2024 for Energy Awareness Campaign of the Year.

How we can help you kick carbon out

Keeping our homes warm and having reliable hot water are both incredibly important and Grant wants to help you achieve these two things as sustainably as possible. Using renewable energy within a heating system is one way to lessen carbon impact. Make the right choice for your home by upgrading your gas or oil boiler to renewable heating system today. Find a local heating engineer here.

We supply a range of renewable heating products including air source heat pumps, solar thermal systems, hot water cylinders, underfloor heating and aluminium radiators, all of which are designed to work together for maximum efficiency to deliver years of sustainable home heating.

Why not visit our Knowledge Hub? It provides a range of information to help you make an informed decision about your next heating system, whether you want to learn more about Net Zero, how renewable heating products work, or to see how heat pumps have been successfully installed in other homes.

Find a local heat pump installer

More and more homes are using renewable heating technologies, with air source heat pumps being one of the most popular. Government funding initiatives, such as the Boiler Upgrade Scheme, are also helping to make the move to greener heating solutions with grants available to help finance heat pump installation costs.

It is important to thoroughly research the suitability of a heat pump in your home and heat pump installers can help with this. Installers should carry out a thorough assessment of your home, including a heat loss calculation, to ascertain the most appropriate system design to suit the heating and hot water demand of the household.

Grant UK’s G1 Scheme is our approved network of installers. G1 members who are approved for Grant air source heat pumps will be able to discuss the Aerona³ heat pump range in detail with you and they can also offer a 7 year guarantee on these heat pumps as well.

What we are doing to kick carbon out

Alongside our renewable heating products and providing advice and support on low carbon heating to homes nationwide, we have and are continuing to make changes within our business operations to be more sustainable as a company. The Grant Team are recycling more, wasting less and increasing the use of sustainable packaging to help lower the Company’s carbon emissions.

Grant Project Zero is our long-term carbon reduction programme which encompasses the entire business, an initiative which is focusing our attention and commitment to work towards Net Zero. We have already achieved Carbon Neutral status and in our premises in Swindon, renewable energy is fulfilling most of the electricity and heat demand for the offices and warehouses.

Lowering carbon emissions will not be achieved over night, but with us all making changes, no matter how small, we can make a big difference and help the planet.
