These facilities are being fully utilised in offering a full schedule of Training and Assessment Programmes for oil installation, commissioning and servicing technicians seeking their OFTEC registration.

OFTEC TRAINING AND ASSESSMENT FEES

The Grant OFTEC training and assessment fees include the cost of all necessary OFTEC books and technical literature, assessment costs, certificate fees, lunches and beverages. They do NOT include any registration fees payable to the registration scheme concerned (eg. OFTEC). These fees must be paid by the technician when applying for registration.

 

OFT10-600A: OIL STORAGE AND SUPPLY INSTALLATION

Duration: 1 day

Training and assessment for practicing oil technicians wishing to obtain OFT10-600A registration – for installation of domestic and non-domestic oil tanks, allowing installers to ‘self-certify’ their tank installations in accordance with current Building Regulations in England & Wales.

OFT10-600A/OFT10-105E: OIL APPLIANCE INSTALLATION AND OIL STORAGE & SUPPLY INSTALLATION

Duration: 2 days

Training and assessment for practicing oil technicians wishing to obtain both OFT10-600A and OFT10-105E registration – allowing them to ‘self-certify’ their oil boiler and domestic/non-domestic oil tank installations.

OFT10-600A/OFT10-105E/OFT10-101: OIL APPLIANCE INSTALLATION, OIL STORAGE AND SUPPLY INSTALLATION, AND PRESSURE JET SERVICING AND COMMISSIONING

Duration: 3 or 4 days*

Training and assessment for practicing oil technicians wishing to obtain OFT10-600A, OFT10-105E and OFT10-101 registration allowing them to ‘self-certify’ their oil boiler and domestic/non-domestic oil tank installations and commission pressure jet oil appliances in accordance with Part L of the current Building Regulations (England & Wales).

For OFT10-101 candidates lacking ‘hands on’ experience in the servicing/commissioning of pressure jet burners, Grant strongly recommends attending the Grant Pressure Jet Burner course before undertaking OFT10-101 training and assessment.

*Candidates who are currently still OFTEC registered (ie. who need to be re-assessed to re-register) are only required to sit a shorter re-assessment. In this case, the duration of the training and assessment has been reduced to three days. Candidates who have not been previously OFTEC assessed, or those who were registered but have allowed their registration to lapse for more than 12 months, will have to sit the full OFTEC assessment. The duration of this training and assessment in four days.

OFT10-101: OIL PRESSURE JET SERVICING AND COMMISSIONING

Duration: 3 or 4 days*

Training and assessment for practicing oil technicians wishing to obtain OFT10-101 registration – as an oil servicing/commissioning technician allowing them to commission pressure jet oil appliances in accordance with Part L of the current Building Regulations (England & Wales).
