Grant Training Academy

With so many developments in the heating market, we understand the importance of offering comprehensive training and support for products.

Our award winning Training Academy demonstrates the Grant’s commitment to providing professional training for heating engineers.

The purpose built training facilities include:

  • air-conditioned lecture rooms
  • extensive oil boiler training workshop
  • biomass boiler training workshop
  • solar thermal and unvented hot water training and assessment area
  • air source heat pump training area
  • solar thermal training roof
  • renewables training and assessment area.

This allows us to offer a wide range of training courses – including Grant product training courses, OFTEC training and assessment and Logic Certification courses.

In addition to the facilities, the Grant trainers have both a wealth of experience and technical knowledge of oil fired domestic boilers, heating systems and installation practice. This combination has resulted in the Grant Training Academy winning OFTEC Training Centre of the Year in 2003, H&V News Award for Excellence in 2004, followed by OFTEC Regional Training Centre of the year in 2005 and 2006 and OFTEC Training Centre of the Year again in 2008, 2010 and 2012.

The knowledge and skills you will gain through our training programmes will allow you to confidently install and maintain Grant heating products, ensuring that your customer is both happy and satisfied with their heating system.

LOCAL TRAINING

We realise that not everyone can make it to the Training Centre in Devizes, so we can organise and deliver ‘off-site’ training courses for installers and commissioning /service technicians. These include OFTEC 10-105E/10-600A training/assessment (2-days) as well as ‘free of charge’ Grant product training sessions.
Off-site training courses are delivered by our own instructors and are usually arranged in conjunction with local Grant stockists, fuel suppliers, heating contractors, or other technical colleges or training centres.

If you would like to know more about the training courses provided by Grant UK, or wish to enrol on a course with Grant, then please either call 01380 736943 or contact training@grantuk.com.

GTEC TRAINING, HAWES

We joGTEC logoined forces with GTEC Training in 2012, at its purpose built Building Services Technology Centre in Hawes, North Yorkshire. As a result of this strategic partnership, Grant product training courses are available at this centre making them far more accessible for installers living in the Northern part of the UK and Scotland.

The GTEC Centre allows us to offer a full suite of Grant product training courses. In 2017, Grant increased the number of its products installed at the GTEC Centre, increasing the training offering for engineers. To read more, please click here.

In addition to the Grant courses, GTEC Training also offers a full range of their own OFTEC and Logic courses. Please click here for further details: www.gtectraining.co.uk.
