With nearly half of all oil-fired boilers currently installed in the UK being a Vortex, it is evident that more and more installers are now choosing Grant as their preferred oil boiler brand. To support the increase in sales, the Company has expanded both their internal and external technical service teams, as Stuart McWhinnie, Assistant Technical Manager for Grant UK, explains:

We actively recruit highly skilled individuals who share our ethos and passion for the industry with many bringing a wealth of experience. Once engaged they undergo a rigorous training and accreditation schedule to ensure they are fully conversant in multiple disciplines such as oil fired heating, air source heat pumps, solar thermal systems, biomass and hot water storage.
Some of our technical support staff have been with us for over 15 years, which not only demonstrates the knowledge and skills held by these individuals, but shows that the role itself is an enjoyable and rewarding one.”
Gareth Grinsell, Grant Service Support Engineer, when asked what it is about his role that he enjoys said, “The products are installed in such differing locations. One minute I might be working with the Lord of the Manor on his estate and the next, the headmaster of a school. No two days are the same or projects alike and I thrive on this kind of diversity”. Gareth lives in Bristol, has a background in HVAC and looks after the South West region.
