Craig and his Team flying high over Bristol

Last weekend, Bristol once again hosted its International Balloon Fiesta where 500,000 visitors were attracted over the course of four days. At this year’s event, Grant UK took to the skies with one of their G-One installers so you may have spotted the distinctive red banner if you were following the event!

Bristol International Balloon Fiesta took place on 11th-14th August and, while the first day’s flights were hindered by windy conditions, the remainder of the weekend was blessed with blue skies. The action unfolded at Ashton Court Estate with early morning ascents happening on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings and a superb Night Glow on Saturday evening. All of these ascents are spectacular sights, hence the event’s popularity and why it is Europe’s largest annual meeting of hot air balloons.

One of Grant UK’s G-One Accredited Installers, Duggan Plumbing and Heating, had a balloon at this year’s Fiesta and their basket was sponsored by Grant UK. With over 140 balloons present, Grant UK’s well-known brand colours certainly stood out.

Grant UK – “Taking Home Heating To New Heights”!

Throughout the event, Craig shared photos and vidoes including some in-flight images which showed the beautiful sights of Bristol and the surrounding areas from a bird’s eye perspective. Commenting after the event, Craig writes, “We are still on a high after the Balloon Fiesta! It was great to be a part of an event which attracted over half a million visitors and which reached an even wider audience through the media. I want to thank Grant UK for their sponsorship of our basket as well as supplying the Team with shirts also. Here’s to next year’s Fiesta!”

The Fiesta is a great opportunity for companies to gain some local, national and international publicity as the event is hugely popular both at home and further afield. This year’s event was another great success and Grant UK was thrilled to reach new heights with Duggan Plumbing and Heating to share the message about their efficient heating solutions.
