Grant shows innovation with Spira range

Grant Engineering has picked up an ‘Innovative Product of the Year’ Award for the Grant Spira Condensing Wood Pellet Boiler at the 2012 Plumbing & Heating awards ceremony, held in Belfast this month.

This state-of-the-art wood pellet boiler is one of the first of its kind in that it is a condensing boiler as opposed to traditional wood pellet boilers which have all been noncondensing. The boiler comes complete with MCS approval, an industry benchmark certifying technologies used to produce electricity or heat from renewable sources, and in the case of the Grant Wood Pellet boiler a £950 Renewable Heat Premium Payment (RHPP), is currently available in the UK towards the cost of the product and installation.

This achievement comes hot on the heels of last year’s success, when the Grant boiler won the SEAI Renewable Energy Product of the 2011 Energy Show. Working at up to an impressive 97% efficiency, it utilises the company’s awardwinning patented stainless steel turbulator baffle system, which is featured in the Vortex range of condensing oil-fired boilers.
