Grant Product Courses
With both new products and accessories being continually added to the Grant Range and the forthcoming introduction of the Government’s Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI), product training courses are now even more important for all individuals working within the heating industry.
GRANT VORTEX WALL HUNG BOILERS
DURATION: 1 day
COST: Free (subject to a £25 booking fee refunded on attendance)
For oil installers and commissioning/servicing technicians, this course covers all models – internal and external – in the new Vortex Eco Wall-hung boiler range – including boiler construction, principles of operation, installation, balanced and conventional flue systems, condensate disposal, burner operation, fault finding and commissioning/servicing procedures.
GRANT PRESSURE JET OIL BURNERS

For oil commissioning/servicing technicians and oil installers who want to know more about the pressure jet burners fitted to Grant boilers. This course covers the Riello RDB and G5BF burners, as well as the Ecoflam MAX1 and Sterling burners. It includes the principles of operation, operating sequences, component functions, fault finding and commissioning/servicing procedures, using both theory and practical ‘hands on’ sessions. It is an ideal preparation for technicians intending to take the OFTEC 101 Servicing/Commissioning training and assessment.
GRANT COMBI BOILERS (Non-condensing models only)
DURATION: 1 day
COST: Free (subject to a £25 booking fee refunded on attendance)
For oil installers and commissioning/servicing technicians, this course covers all aspects of the Grant non-condensing Combi boilers – including the Combi V3 & Combi Max as well as the MKII Combi models (internal and external). It covers principles of operation, installation and servicing/fault finding.
GRANT AIR SOURCE HEAT PUMPS (ASHP)

For heating engineers and merchants with no prior knowledge of air source heat pump technology, who want to learn more about this very innovative ‘renewable’ technology. This course covers all aspects of the Grant Air Source Heat Pump Range including refrigeration cycle theory, ASHP operation, Grant Aerona ASHP components, Grant Aerona weather compensation controls, system design, installation, commissioning, servicing and fault-finding.
GRANT SOLAR PV (PHOTOVOLTAIC)

For experienced solar installers, heating installers or electricians wanting to get involved with this effective ‘renewable’ technology. This course covers all aspects of the Grant Solar PV system including the principles of solar PV system design, solar PV module construction and installation, inverters, electrical requirements and testing and commissioning.
GRANT WOOD PELLET BOILERS

For those not actually involved in installation, but who wish to know more about the Grant Spira Pellet Boiler e.g. merchants, specifiers, etc. This course covers wood pellet characteristics, pellet storage and supply, boiler specification, construction and operation, installation requirements, electrical wiring, flue systems and burner basic operation.
