Out with the old and in with the Blue!

Since its launch last month, demand for the innovative new Grant VortexBlue oil-fired condensing boiler range has been high. Dempsey Heating Ltd, a Grant UK G-One accredited installer, was one of the first to fit the new blue flame boiler which is now keeping a home in Norfolk warm with its clean burning technology.

Dempsey Heating Ltd are OFTEC registered engineers based in Fakenham, Norfolk. The installation of a VortexBlue Internal Combi 21kW boiler was the ideal choice to replace an older oil-fired appliance for a property in Little Melton.

Out with the old…

All VortexBlue boilers have the same dimensions as existing models allowing them to be easily installed into spaces where older appliances were previously located. Furthermore, the VortexBlue offers homeowners the high efficiencies expected from Grant products with the additional benefits sought from the revolutionary clean burning low NOx blue flame burner.

The VortexBlue brings together market-leading heating technologies by incorporating the latest Riello Blue Flame compact burner with the award-winning Grant Vortex oil boiler. The fifteen boilers within this new range achieve up to 93.3% Gross SAP2009 annual efficiency, with an ErP rating of A. With internal, external and combi models available, the range offers installers a large choice when trying to match their customers’ needs. Meanwhile, the state-of-the-art blue flame burner gives homeowners the assurance that their property is being heated efficiently, while also complying with EU emission changes nearly two years before they come into force.

The installation in progress

The internal combi chosen for this particular installation features the same components found in Grant’s popular Vortex Pro Combi range including: a 24 litre expansion vessel as standard, internal frost protection, neon diagnostic indicators, and large heat exchangers which vastly increase the boiler’s hot water performance. Consequently, the VortexBlue Combis, like the Pro model, are easy to install and service while delivering reliable and effective heating.

The boiler was installed and commissioned by Dempsey Heating Ltd within twenty-four hours causing minimal disruption to the homeowner. Available in outputs of 21kW, 26kW and 36kW models, these models are compatible with all of Grant EZ-Fit flues.

For installers who regularly work with Grant and Riello products, the VortexBlue’s set-up and components will be familiar and easy to work with. While the technology is advanced, it is not complicated, something that was instrumental to Grant when researching and developing this new generation of products.

For over four decades, Grant has developed innovative heating appliances designed to provide homeowners with reliable, efficient heating lowering their fuel bills. The VortexBlue is the latest addition to the Company’s oil-fired boiler range and, as with its current products, Grant supports the proven build of the VortexBlue with extended guarantees (subject to Terms and Conditions) and after-sales support that provide homeowners with ongoing peace of mind.
